The outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic established the abrupt need to adapt to a new teaching-learning system. During the first two years of its prevalence, in the educational world we have experienced different transformations to set in motion a methodology for virtual teaching. However, this year, in which the fury of the virus seems to be appeasing, we still face a challenge; we must decide, or somebody has to decide for us, whether to return to our classrooms but using different approaches, some of which will be face-to-face, virtual, or in accordance with the hybrid model. This new scenario demands from us an always updated thirst for ground breaking techniques and tools that can help us reduce the uncertainty of the new context.

In this series of commentaries, we will address proposals that may be suitable for different contexts, such as the importance of interaction, the use of practical and effective resources, evaluation techniques, and the like, that should allow us to get the most out of each method.
