The development and consumption of communication technology, the widespread popularity of social networks and prevalent use of streaming have exposed the general public to the English language in a way that had never been seen before. Anyone, if they so choose, could have 24-hour-a-day exposure to the English language without ever leaving their home. This has made it easier for the people that study English academically to contrast the oral production of their teacher with the native patterns to which they have wide access, as much in the phonetic aspects as in the grammatical and cultural ones.
The purpose of this series of comments is to endow the English teacher with a diversity of resources to improve their own language achievement in order to perform acceptably in front of progressively more demanding students and general public.
